import Export code (IEC) Registration

The Import Export Code is a 10-digit numeric code can be obtained from DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It is required for importing or exporting goods and/or services in/from India.

Procedure for IEC Registration

Step 1: Open DGFT Website (https://www.dgft.gov.in/)

Click on "Apply for IEC" tab appears on main page

Step 2: Get your-self Register as user

Fill following details in the form available there.

First Name, Last Name

Email ID & Mobile Number

Verify OTP and create a password to login further.

Step 3: IEC Application Form ANF-2A need to be filled

Business Name & Address

Nature of Business (Proprietorship, Partnership, Pvt Ltd, etc.)

PAN & GST Details

PAN & GST Details

Bank Account Details (IFSC Code, Bank Name)

Step 4: Upload relevant documents

PAN Card of the Business and Individual

KYC documents i.e. Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Passport of the Applicant

Business premises Address Proof

Bank Certificate or Cancelled Cheque

Digital Signature

Step 5: IEC Registration Fees Rs. 500/- has to be paid (Payable with IEC application to the Govt.)

Step 6: After successful submission and fees payment IEC Certificate will be generated.
